Online Scams
Phishing attacks use 'spoofed' e-mails and fraudulent websites
designed
to fool recipients into divulging personal financial
data such as credit
card numbers, account usernames and
passwords.
Phishing is on the increase and is set to reach $400 million in
fraud this
year.
Remember it is highly unlikely that your bank will ever ask you to
disclose this information so as a rule never do so.
Phishing is not exclsuively an online-banking problem, it applies to
any
online organisation that holds sensitive information about
you. Other organisations
include, eBay, Amazon and OneTel.
